07 Apr Days away from richest Metro Summer Event ₱6 Million (~$106K) guarantee; Pre-Event kicks off April 8
The richest Metro Summer Event is days away! For its seventh edition, the popular homegrown Metro Card Club festival guarantee has been upped to PH₱ 6 Million (~$106K), much larger than its record breaking prize pool last year of PH₱ 5.4 Million. What that means is, the upcoming edition will create a new record for this event. Don’t miss out!
The Metro Summer Event runs April 10 to 15, 2024 with five starting days scheduled. This year’s buy in has also seen an increase to PH₱ 11,000 (~$195). This buys you 25,000 starting stack which is a very deep 250 times the opening blinds. Blinds increase every 30 minutes then 40 minutes on Day 2 and the Final Day. Each starting day plays down to ITM of 14% of the field.
Metro Summer Event – Structure
Last year, the MSE crowned Moses Saquing its newest champion, awarding him an ICM deal payout of PH₱ 1,257,705 (~US$ 22,630). This is the largest MSE first prize to be awarded to any player in history.
With this year’s prize pool already at an all time high, players can expect an even larger payout to the champion. Imagine firing just one bullet and turning that small buy in to a million peso payday? Big money awaits at the MSE.
For those new to the Metro Summer Event, the field is largely populated by locals with international players increasing in numbers through the years. Out of the six past winners, two were from outside of the Philippines. If y0u want to play alongside the country’s best, this is your chance especially with the Metro Team Pros coming out in full force. Among those to expect are Lester Edoc, Mike Takayama, Marc Rivera, and Terry Gonzaga to name a few.
