RVS CUP 2023 boosted to a richer 10 Million guarantee – November 10 to 20 at Metro Card Club

With the calendar year drawing closer to its end, it’s time for the Metro Card Club‘s much-anticipated RVS CUP Philippine Poker Championship! For this year’s 9th installment, the Metro has ramped up the excitement featuring a boosted Php 10 Million (~$175,930) guaranteed prize pool. This is a significant increase of Php 4 Million from previous, giving players no reason to miss out. The event runs from November 15 to 20, 2023 with buy in of Php 16,500 (~$290). Pre-games begin on November 10. Mark your calendars!

Year after year, this annual festival draws players from all over the Philippines with many flying in to try to capture the prestigious title. Last year, the event drew 766 entries for a prize pool over Php 7.4 Million. Metro Team Pro Vamerdino Magsakay shipped it for a payout deal of Php 1,600,000 (~$28,150).

To enter, players have five starting days to choose from – Day 1A to Day 1E (Turbo) – running November 15 to 18. Each Day 1 plays down to ITM of 12% of the field. Advancing players enter Day 2 on November 19 which plays down to the final two tables. Day 3 is the day the RVS CUP’s newest champion will be determined.

For players looking to enter at a fraction of the cost can try their luck at the Satellites. Only two are offered, November 14 and November 17. Buy in is Php 3,600 (~$63.35).

In addition to the RVS CUP are several side events where players can snatch a trophy. The first one kicks off the festivities – the RVS CUP Pre-Event Php 1 Million (~$17,590) guarantee. This event runs November 10 to 12 with three entry flights scheduled. Buy in is Php 3,500 (~$62). If you are looking for some early practice and  a way to beef up your bankroll, give this opener a go.

Other side events are Mixed Game NLH / PLO, Mystery Bounty 300K guaranteed, Ladies Event, Power Button, Deep Stack Turbo, Big Bounty, High Roller, and on the last day, the RVS CUP Mini Main. Buy ins range from Php 4,000 to Php 8,000. Starting stack is 20,000.  Blinds increase every 20 minutes.

At the end of the festival, the RVS CUP will award the player with the most points accrued the Player of the Series title. Players can earn points at any of the trophy events. The winner will win a 4 days/ 3 nights stay at The District Boracay in the stunning Boracay Island.
