Metro Summer Event down to the Final 18 players – ₱1.44 Million to the champion

It is down to the wire at the Metro Summer Event with only 18 players remaining out of the record breaking 870 entries. Action begins at 2pm at the Metro Card Club. Up for grabs is the ₱ 1,440,000 (~US$ 25,700) top prize and the MSE Trophy. Come on over and cheer on your favorites. Once the final table is reached, it will stream live on the Metro facebook page and Metro YouTube channel.

Jasper David

Victor Guevara Lansang

Bringing in the biggest stacks are two players apart by just one big blind. Jasper David is the official frontrunner with 49 bb and Victor Guevara Lansang has 48 bb. Both players ran strong during the starting flights and maintained their momentum at Day 2. One of David’s last bust outs was Metro Team Pro Vamerdino Magsakay. Another consistent contender was Hernan Jaybee Villa who topped Day 1B and closed Day 2 running just behind the leaders in third rank with 46 bb.

Further down the rung are Metro champions looking to add an MSE trophy to their shelves. RVS Cup & Batang Metro champion Lester Edoc will certainly be feared with 25 big blinds that can cause plenty of damage and PPT champion Maxwell Rosete with 24 big blinds. MWAM champion Jason Kyle Magbanua also made the cut but with 6 big blinds, he will have a hard climb.

Raymund Sena

Nearing the close of Day 2, Ivan Tabucal made a good call with mid pair against Edilberto Gopez who bluff shoved. This earned Tabucal the maximum to bag up fourth in chips of 33 big blinds. Raymund Sena also had a successful hunt, seen railing multiple players including Jose Marquez Chung in 19th place to close up Day 2. Sena earned fifth rank with 27 big blinds.

Apling Pamplona

Manuel Mascunana

You can read up on the Day 2 action via the Live Updates. We will have the payout list soon. Among the players that reached the money was Apling Pamplona who delivered the bubble just two hours into the day. Manuel Mascunana fell in brutal fashion with pocket Queens playing the board and losing to Pamplona’s bigger flush.
