RVS CUP 2022 Main Event: Alvin Jeff Sembrano impresses again with largest Day 1A stack

The most awaited homegrown annual tournament opened today at the Metro Card Club with 76 runners turning up for Day 1A of the 2022 RVS CUP Philippine Poker Championship – MAIN EVENT. After the scheduled 14 rounds, 10 players had chips to bag with Alvin Jeff Sembrano sitting on a huge 257,500 stack (85 BB). This was another impressive performance by Sembrano who earlier in the festival topped the counts of Pre-Event 600K GTD Day 1B. Also making the cut was 2017 RVS CUP champion Christopher Chua with a 143,500 stack (47 BB).

The survivors have a few days break before returning for the next stage of the race which is Day 2 on Sunday, November 13. They await the results of the upcoming starting heats – Day 1B, Day 1C, Day 1D, and Day 1E (Turbo). With only 9 qualifiers so far, the time to secure your seat is now. This is the richest RVS CUP, boosted a generous one million pesos from previous.

Day 1C: Friday, November 11 at 3pm
Day 1D: Saturday, November 12 at 2pm
Day 1E (Turbo): Saturday, November 12 at 7pm

In addition, the RVS CUP Player of the Series title is on the table. The player with the most points accrued at the end of the series will win a trip to Boracay Island, hailed one of the world’s best beach destinations. The POS champion will win a 4 Day / 3 Night stay at The District Boracay and airfare expenses.

If you’ve already qualified for Main Event Day 2, then give the side events a go to earn your POS points. Currently leading the race is Patrick Ramil Bahan with three cashes for 2,780 points. Pre-Event winner Rey Osete runs second with 2,640 points. Rounding out the top 3 is Jester Intia with 2,600 points.
