Jeffrey Estanislao bags the lead at Metro 2M Day 1A; Clyde Troy Morales among the big stacks

The race is on! The Metro Walk to a Million 2M GTD kicked off today with the first of four starting days attracting 75 runners. After 14 rounds of play, only 11 survived with Jeffrey Estanislao bagging the mightiest stack of 174,800. Estanislao is a newcomer to the local tournament scene and will certainly be one to watch for as the event progresses. He sets the bar high for the next entry days to come. Also advancing was Clyde Troy Morales who has been running hot for the past month. Morales recently shined at the APC with a 6th place finish and a side event victory. The day’s survivors have a three day break before returning for Day 2 on Sunday, July 3.

With Day 1A in the bag, there are three starters left to get in on this pot. Buy in is Php 5,500. All starting days will see cards flying at 3pm. Starting stack is 15,000 with opening blinds at 50-100. For late comers, registration closes at the start of Level 10, which is approximately 7:50pm.
