PPT Day 1B sees 14 players advance led by Angelo Mejia; Day 1C up next, cards in the air at 3pm

The Philippine Poker Tournament saw another starting day go by with 86 entries for Day 1B. After the scheduled 14 rounds, only 14 remained with Angelo Mejia bagging the day’s chip lead. Although his stack is far behind Day 1A chip leader Leonel Edejer, he still earned second rank overall with 154,500 in chips. Other players making the cut in this heat were Pre-Event champion Jharome Pena, 2022 Metro Summer Event champion Bonifacio Mondalo, and Jose Marquez Cheung who is fresh off a double victory at the recently concluded APT Philippines series.

The combined Day 1 qualifiers will have a couple of days off before they return to action on Day 2 which takes place on Sunday, May 15 starting at 1pm.
