28 Feb PPT Main Event: Christopher “Bigtime” Mateo dominates Day 1B; two more days to enter
A well known figure in the Asian poker circuit came out firing at the Philippine Poker Tournament this Thursday. Filipino player Christopher Mateo, fondly called “Bigtime”, powered through the 121 entry field of Main Event Day 1B to pile in the largest stack of 264,600. This was nearly 100k more than his closest heat competitor and just enough to overtake Day 1A top dog Jasper Salonga David for the Day 2 lead. We have yet to see if his lead will hold with two more starting days to follow. Chip counts below of all the qualifiers.
