RVS CUP 2019 Php 5M gtd starts November 13! 300K gtd tomorrow; Jacque Ramsden & Marco Almerez early side winners

The 6th annual RVS CUP 2019 Philippine Poker Championship is well underway at the Metro Card Club with two side events claimed and plenty more to look forward to. The festival is scheduled to run from November 8 to 21. Schedule at the bottom of the page.

Coming in two days time is the star of the show, the Php 5 Million guaranteed MAIN EVENT, taking place from November 13 to 18. Make sure to mark down those dates in your calendars. However, before it commands the room, we have two more side events to hone your skills and earn points towards the Player of the Series race. See all the info below.

• Mixed Game NLHE/PLO – November 11 – Php 2,200 buyin – 6pm start
• 300K Guaranteed – November 12 – Php 3,300 – 6pm start

Pre-Event 600K guaranteed: JACQUE PATRICK RAMSDEN

November 8 marked the start of the festival with the Pre-Event 600K guaranteed as the opening attraction. After three entry heats, the figures were to the roof. 486 charged in to create a prize pool of Php 874,800 (~US$ 17,200) to more than breach the guarantee. Returning to action on the final day were 86 remaining players however only 48 of them went on to cash. Despite a very heavily dominated local field, it was USA player Jacque Ramsden banking the largest for his victory.

Power Button: MARCO ALMEREZ

Another side event also wrapped up and this one was won by a very familiar face at the Metro. Winning the Power Button event was none other than RVS CUP 2018 Main Event champion… Marco Almerez! By the looks of it, Almerez is already fueled up and ready to score his second Metro championship title. His win at the side event displayed just that by overcoming the 67 entries. He earned the largest payout of Php 25,130.

With two events in the books, the RVS CUP 2019 Player of the Series race is on! Leading is Jacque Ramsden for his victory at the Pre-Event. There are 7 more side events and of course the Main Event to accrue points. Keep it coming!

RVS CUP Php 5 Million guaranteed MAIN EVENT

In two days time we kick off the tournament everyone has been waiting for all year, the Php 5 Million guaranteed MAIN EVENT! It runs from November 13 to 18 with four starting days to enter. If the opening events are a sign of what’s to come, then expect a wall-to-wall crowd gunning to be the next champion.

Day 1A: Wednesday, November 13 @ 3pm
Day 1B: Thursday, November 14 @ 3pm
Day 1C: Friday, November 15 @ 3pm
Day 1D: Saturday, November 16 @ 3pm
Day 2: Sunday, November 17 @ 1pm
Final Day: Monday, November 18 @ 1pm 

Starting stack: 15,000
Opening blinds: 25 – 50
Format: Big Blind Ante (big blind is posted before the ante)
Day 1 and Day 2: 30 minutes blind level duration
Final two tables: 40 minutes blind level duration and switches to Regular Ante
Final table: 60 minutes blind level duration 

Notes: 

• Registration closes at the start of Level 10
• Day 1 flights play until the end of Level 13
• Multiple re-entries and multiple stacks allowed; best stack forward rule applies
• Day 2 plays until the final two tables is formed or 12 levels whichever is reached first
• Final table will be 10-handed
