Welcome to the Batang Metro Poker Challenge – PHP 2 Million Guaranteed! The BMPC is the Metro Card Club‘s newest series. It kicked off last night with the NLHE Turbo PHP 150K Guaranteed. We will have results up on that tournament as soon as it comes in. For now, it’s time to suit up for the BMPC PHP 2 Million (~US$ 38,200) Guaranteed. This is the event everyone has been waiting for and it is the event to win.

The BMPC is the Metro’s fourth festival of the calendar year. This year’s previous winners were Gideon Galpo, Kai Paulsen, and Mark Amparo. Expect those champions and well known pros to hit the felt for this inaugural event. The bragging rights title is on the table. Who wants it most? Who will be the next Metro champion? Bring your A-game, it’s anyone’s game!

BMPC 2M Day 1 info and schedule

Buy-in: PHP 4,500 (~US$ 90)
Starting stack: 15,000 (300 times opening big blind)
Starting time: 3pm
Opening blinds: 25 – 50
Level intervals: 30 minutes
Format: Big Blind Ante
Registration / Re-entry: closes at the start of Level 10

Day 1A: Wednesday, August 21
Day 1B: Thursday, August 22
Day 1C: Friday, August 23
Day 1D: Saturday, August 24

Notes:

  • Day 1 heats play until the end of Level 15
  • Attempting for multiple stacks is allowed however only the best stack advances

Day 2 info

For players that advance to Day 2, the game resumes on Sunday, August 25. Cards in the air at 1pm. Blinds continue to increase every 30 minutes and the “Big Blind Ante” format is still in effect. Day 2 plays down to the final two tables or 12 levels, whichever is reached first.

Final Day info

For players that advance to the final day, the game resumes on Monday, August 26.  This is the last hurdle to the inaugural title. Cards in the air at 1pm. If the final two tables wasn’t reached at the end of Day 2, then the blinds continue to increase every 30 minutes. Once the final two tables is reached, the blinds increase every 40 minutes and the format changes to “Regular Ante”.  Once the final table is reached, the blinds increase every 60 minutes.

  • The Metro pays the top 10 percent of the field
  • Top 15 players win a seat to RVS Cup Main Event worth PHP 11,000. RVS Cup is the Metro’s biggest annual event. It takes place from November 13 to 18, 2019.
  • The Tournament Director’s decision is final
  • Management reserves the right to cancel guarantee due to Force Majeure: Earthquake, Flooding or Typhoon

There are also five side events offered during the festival. All events award special BMPC trophies.

Power Button: August 21 – Buyin is PHP 1,100 – starts at 8pm
NLHE Turbo: August 22 – Buyin is PHP 1,500 – starts at 8pm
Mixed Game NLHE /PLO: August 24 – Buyin is PHP 1,500 – starts at 8pm
Bounty: August 25 – Buyin is PHP 1,700 – starts at 7pm
Deep Stack Turbo: August 26 – Buyin is PHP 1,700 – starts at 6pm
