Sky Rox Victorino Sleighs Metro Christmas Special Day 1B

With holiday traffic gridlocking much of the city, Day 1B of the Metro Christmas Special Main Event drew a lighter turnout as 50 runners braved the bumper-to-bumper rush to take their shot across ten levels of registration. Though the field may have been lighter, the action certainly wasn’t, with plenty heartbreaks before the field was trimmed down to just seven survivors.

Sky Rox Victorino did most of the damage as she ended the night miles ahead of the pack with a massive 498,000. This was more than double the stack of her nearest challenger, Algyn Baylon, who bagged 222,000.

Combined with Day 1A, the Main Event has drawn 159 entries with 23 through to the ITM round. There are still three flights remaining to jump in and have a chance at the ₱5,000,000 guarantee and at the last Metro title of the season.

2025 MCS Trophies

Last Chance To Earn Points For The 2025 METRO MVP AND POY Titles

The 2025 MCS also serves as the last window for players to boost their Metro Player of the Year points. Last year, Lester Edoc topped the leaderboard to be recognized as the Metro’s Most Valuable Player while the inaugural Metro POY title was awarded to Lemmor Patulot.

Finishing 9th in the leaderboard rankings, Patulot earned a spot in the Top 10 TLB Final Table showdown, then went on to sweep to win the first ever Metro POY title. His victory not only came with a cash prize, Patulot was also honored with a one-year contract as a Metro Team Pro.

For the Metro POY title, only the top 10 in the leaderboard will qualify for the final table showdown where the champion will earn the ultimate crown and secure a one-year contract as a Metro Team Pro.

Marlon Laxamana Wins MSE Main Event

As of December 10, Metro Summer Event champion Marlon Laxamana extended his lead after cashing at the side events. He now has 28,464.66 points and a healthy cushion against his nearest rival, Jun Amsic who has 19,728.27 points. One of the biggest leaderboard movers was Rene Mar David who leapfrogged in just three days into 6th position.

Last year, David won the MCS Main Event and is in pursuit of a back-to-back and also has a shot at both the Metro VIP and POY titles.
