Who Will Win 2026 BMPC Main Event? Final 18 Return; Side Events Winners Inside

The Metro Card Club’s Batang Metro Poker Challenge once again enjoyed a record-setting turnout as the Main Event drew 783 entries, the second-largest field in the tournament’s history. Out of the five starting days, the biggest push was seen at Flight D which drew 255 entries. As a result, it easily eclipsed the guarantee and generated a prize pool of ₱7,830,000.

Now, only 18 players remain in contention. Awaiting the eventual champion is a ₱1,286,000 top prize, making this the third consecutive BMPC Main Event that will award a seven-figure payday.

Holding the inside track is Jasper Santos, who finished Day 2 atop the final 18. Santos started the day ninth among the 108 returning players before he bagged the overnight lead. He now sits in prime position to capture the biggest title of his career.

Not far behind is David Erquiaga, one of the country’s most accomplished players. Erquiaga will have another opportunity to improve on his 10th place finish in the BMPC Main Event in 2022 and add another major title to his superb résumé.

Several other storylines also remain in play behind the leaders. Marvin Cerbito, the 2023 BMPC Main Event champion is wedged in the middle. Cerbito is chasing history as he looks to become the first player to win the event twice.

Another contender is Moses Saquing who is once again knocking on the door after a string of deep runs that includes fifth in this event in 2024, victory at the 2023 Metro Summer Event, along with runner-up finishes at the 2023 RVS Cup and 2025 Metro Summer Event.

Fresh off a career-best fourth-place finish at the 2026 APPT Manila Main Event, Fernan Co has carried that momentum into another deep run and now has a second chance to convert it into a title.

Also returning are decorated players Rommel Angeles, Revo David, and Euryd Rivera, ensuring the final day features an exciting mix of hotshots with plenty of ammo to take it down.

BMPC Pre-Event

The BMPC Pre-Event got the festival off to a flying start as 278 entries pushed the prize pool ₱522,640. After three days of action from August 7-9, it was John Philip Baider who emerged on top following an ICM heads-up deal with Michael Zeus Segismundo. 

The victory also carried added significance for Baider in the Metro Tournament Leaderboard race. Running fifth at the start of the month, the win strengthened his bid for the club’s top honors. See standings at the bottom of the page.
