However, Nakila’s  path to victory is far from clear. When the final table gets underway, to his immediate left sits Arnel Trinidad, who has been in contention since Day 2 as overall chip leader and remains firmly in the hunt for the gold.

Adding further pressure, Edgar Asehan occupies the next seat over. Asehan entered Day 3 second rank out of 44 players and once again carried that momentum to the final table, armed with a healthy 61 big blinds.

Justin Ong at Philippine Poker Millions

Among the most dangerous names in the mix is Justin Ong (pictured above), fresh off back-to-back titles at the APPT Manila Main Event and the PokerStars Red Dragon. Riding a red-hot streak, Ong arrives at the final day with 51 big blinds, perfectly poised to make a run at a third major.

Wedged in the middle of the pack is Marciel Cerbito, who stamped his mark early by topping Day 1C, while just behind him sits the lone woman in the lineup, Vietnamese vlogger Gemmy Tue An (Quach Huyen Ngoc), bringing star power to the table.

Renato Villanueva Jr

Completing the pack, are Renato Villanueva Jr (pictured above), Ellezer Castillo, and Manjong Kim, all three players with very playable stacks however they all will have a grind ahead if they plan to catch the leaders.

When the players return, the blinds are 60K-120K ante 120K with levels running 60 minute durations. To follow the action, make sure to tune in to the livestream via Metro Facebook starting at 230pm local time.
