25 May MSE Main Event Draws 759 As 105 Return For Day 2; Mateo, Marcos Top Final Flights
Smashing turnout at the 2025 Metro Summer Event as the final two flights added in a combined 372 entries, driving the total field to 759 and shattering the ₱6 Million guarantee. With the numbers locked in, 105 players are set to return for Day 2, each one secured a piece of the ₱7,590,000 prize pool.

At the minimum, all returning players are guaranteed a payout of ₱20,000. For the eventual champion, a huge ₱1,200,000 awaits. The top 9 players also receive a seat worth ₱55,000 to the Philippine Poker Millions.
Among those in the mix are Kevin Mateo and Czar Ian Marcos, both players closing the final two flights as chip leaders. Also bagging up big stacks were Elmer Kalaquian, Rowena Alveyra, Michael Avelino, Riener Magbutay, and Yoshiki Miura.
Listed is the complete Day 2 lineup and seat draw. Blinds start at 2,000-4,000 ante 4,000. The day wraps up when the final 2 tables are reached.





Kevin Mateo Tops Flight D
Flight D drew the largest field of 217 entries with Kevin Mateo (pictured below) outshining the 31 qualifiers with an impressive 562,000 in chips. This secured him the third spot in the overall Day 2 standings.

Last year, Mateo cashed at one of the Metro Main Events, and with a towering stack now in hand, he is well positioned to make a deeper run and chase down an even bigger payout. Also making a strong statement were second ranked Elmer Kalaquian with 504,500 in chips, and further down the rung Terry Gonzaga, Vince Nachor, and recent side event champion William Barona.

Czar Ian Marcos Closes Final Flight Ahead
155 runners made a last dash at the MSE Main Event final flight with only 22 players advancing to the money round. Closing it out at the top of the charts was Czar Ian Marcos with a stack 337,ooo.
