Lemmor Patulot Crowned Player Of The Year, Becomes Newest Metro Team Pro; Lester Edoc Wins MVP

Following a year long race and a final showdown to determine the ultimate winner, Lemmor Patulot was crowned the first ever Metro Card Club Player of the Year! Along with Php 372,807 in cash and Metro tournament credits worth 93,500, Patulot was awarded a 1 year contract as Metro Team Pro. He joins homegrown talents such as Mike Takayama, Lester Edoc, Jojo Tech and other esteemed members in representing Metro in the coming year. The first ever Metro Tournament Leaderboard kicked off on January 2, 2024 with players accruing points until December 16. When the final tally was in, Patulot was ranked 9th while Metro Team Pro Lester Edoc stood head and shoulders above the rest, racking up 32,274.13 points in just six events. This earned Edoc the  title of Metro’s Most Valuable Player (MVP).

A large majority of Edoc’s points came from winning Metro’s premier tournament, the RVS Cup, becoming the first to win the event twice. As MVP, Edoc was awarded Php 100,000, 4D/3N hotel accommodation in The District Boracay, and a 1 year contract as Metro Team Pro.

To deterimine the Metro Player of the Year, the top 10 players squared off in a final showdown on December 21, 2024. Each finalist earned a portion of the Php 1,455,467 total generated pot (1% of the Prize pool of all Tournaments at the Metro except Freeroll) based on their finish. Edoc was eliminated in 8th place, adding another Php 21,146 to his MVP winnings. Patulot defeated Anthony Castro at heads up to claim the title and the largest cut.
