Metro Christmas Special 5M Structure
Day 1E and Day 1F Results
As mentioned above, Michael Concepcion dusted the Day 1F field and will be entering Day 2 with over four times the average stack. Concepcion’s massive 723,000 stack meant he bagged 29% of the stacks in his heat.
Out of the 97 entries, 14 players secured an ITM spot. In addition to Concepcion, among them were Moses Saquing aka “Moejiggy”, Cezar Quiambao, Rene Mar David, and Joven Huerto. A rare sight at the tables was Lloyd Fontillas of the Asian Poker Tour who also bagged up.
At the earlier Day 1E, 155 turned up making this the largest entry flight. By the time the 22 ITM players were determined, up top was Michael De Leon aka “Gambledore” with a stack of 324,000. This earned De Leon fifth rank in the overall Day 2 lineup.
Other survivors were Metro champions and notables Jae Yi Chang, Christopher Mateo, Richard Marquez, Marvin Cerbito, Euryd Rivera, Jose Colada, and Jimmie Javier.
For those that missed the mark, there is a Bounty Event running today at 3pm. This is one of the last chances to snag a Metro trophy and add more Metro Tourney Player Of The Year points before the year ends.
Will Laxamana Catch Edoc?
Currently leading the MTLB POTY race is Lester Edoc, the first ever RVS Cup multi champion. Edoc has a sizable lead over second ranked Marlon Laxamana (pictured above) who is still in the MCS.
Edoc currently has 32,274.13 across six events while Laxamana has the most cashes of any player of 59 accruing 27,052.23 points. Laxamana will have to win the MCS to turn the tables. Can he do it? We shall soon find out!
