12 Dec Raphael Bulaong, Rigor Bulatao Top Metro Christmas Special Day 1A; Prince Pelopero Wins NLHE Turbo
Close race for the top spot at the Metro Christmas Special 5M GTD Day 1A with Rigor Bulatao and Raphael Bulaong bagging up the largest stacks of 296,000 and 294,000. Between the two, Bulatao edged by just two small chips. Claiming third rank was Jhun Aballa with 285,000.

The Metro Card Club‘s last event of the season kicked off with 134 entrants signing up for Day 1A of the Metro Christmas Special 5M GTD. Only 19 were guaranteed a spot at the ITM round. Joining the leaders Bulatao (pictured below) and Bulaong (pictured two down) were notables Justin Geronimo, Maxwell Rosete, Alexis Cruz, Michael Calunsod, John Costiniano, and recently crowned Pre-Event champion Tyrone Lim.

This is also a great way to earn points towards the Metro Tourney Player of the Year Leaderboard. Buy in is just ₱11,000 (~US$ 187). Prince Pelopero Wins NLHE Turbo
The NLHE Turbo saw many of the Day 1A fallouts among the 65 entry field. This built a prize pool of ₱208,000 with ten players earning a cut. Locking up the win and trophy was Prince Pelopero for a payout of ₱51,800.
