Metro Christmas Special 5M Starts Today; Tyrone Lim, Dae Shik Kim Win Events

Welcome players to the Metro Card Club’s final event of the year, the Metro Christmas Special 5M guaranteed! This is the last chance to thicken the wallet and earn points towards the Tourney Player Of The Year leaderboard. To ensure everyone has a chance at qualifying to the ITM round, a total of six entry flights have been scheduled with buy in at a very affordable ₱11,000 (~US$ 187).

Tyrone Lim Wins Pre-Event

Congratulations to Tyrone Lim for his victory at the Pre-Event! Outlasting a field of 184 entries, Lim shipped the ₱106,000 top prize from a prize pool of ₱671,600.

Entering the final table ranked 8th in chips, Lim climbed up the ranks to reach the final three. With blinds high and average at 15 bb, Lim won a crucial flip against Raymund Sena to catapult to the top and never looked back. At heads up, blinds ate up Benjamin Mangaliman’s stack to drop to 5 bb. Despite a double up, Mangaliman could not keep up with Lim to settle for second place.

Dae Shik Kim Wins Deepstack

The Deepstack event was another crowd pleaser with 94 entries building a prize pool of ₱300,800. Out of the 14 players earning a piece of the pot, Dae Shik Kim claimed the largest share of ₱74,952 and the victory trophy.
