Metro Walk to a Million 1.5 Million Guaranteed starts tomorrow; 100K GTD Pre-Event today

It’s that time of the year again! The Metro Card Club, the largest and most popular poker room in the Philippines, is set to host the annual Metro WALK TO A MILLION (MWAM). The six day series begins on Wednesday, June 26 and will run until Monday, July 1. A total of six events fill up the schedule with the Main Event – Php 1.5 MIllion guarantee as the top attraction.

Last year the MWAM drew an enormous turnout of 858 entries to exceed the guarantee by Php 200K. Local player Marvin Cerbito won it and claimed his largest live tournament payout of Php 285,638. Cerbito is a familiar face at the Metro so it is likely he will be back to defend his title. Players can expect to see another big field with four starting days available and the buy-in set at a very affordable Php 3,500. 

Main Event details:

Starting stack: 15,000 (300 times the opening bb)
Opening blinds: 25-50
Format: Big Blind Ante
Level duration: blinds increase every 30 minutes
Registration: ends at the start of Level 10
Bagging time: end of Level 15

Day 1A: Wednesday, June 26 at 3pm
Day 1B: Thursday, June 27 at 3pm
Day 1C: Friday, June 28 at 3pm
Day 1D: Saturday, June 29 at 3pm

Day 2: Sunday, June 30 at 1pm
Final Day:  Monday, July 1 at 1pm

*Final two tables will see blinds escalate every 40 minutes. Final table blinds increase every 60 minutes.

Today: Pre-Event – 100K Guaranteed

Prior to the Main Event, players are encouraged to warm up at the Php 100,000 Guaranteed Pre-Event which takes place today (Tuesday, June 25). Starting time is 6pm, that should give everyone plenty of time to join. Buy-in to the Pre-Event is Php 1,100 with multiple rebuys and one Add-on allowed. Players begin with a 10,000 stack.
