Gear up, players! The annual Metro Walk To A Million is just days away from kicking off at the Metro Card Club, and it promises to be a cash bonanza! This year’s celebration boasts a ₱5,000,000 (~$86,650) guarantee, which is two million more than the previous edition. The event runs from June 19 to 24, 2024, with a two-day ₱500K Pre-Event starting on June 17. Don’t miss out on the action!

This will be the fourth installment of the Metro Walk To A Million with each previous year far exceeding its guaranteed prize pool. The largest was in 2023 with a roaring 1,656 entries building a record prize pool of ₱5,140,000 (~USD 92,150). Rising victorious out of that towering heap was Filipino Oliver John Tapel to lock up his first Metro title and ₱867,470 (~$15,550). Tapel is looking forward to returning with a short quote saying,

“Laro ult ako and I will try my best, bahala na kung anong mang yayari sa laban.” (I will be there to play again and I will try my best no matter the outcome.)

Other past winners were Mark Amparo and Jason Kyle Magbanua with the latter also expected to make a bid for his a second win.

MWAM: Pre-Event ₱500K Guaranteed and Side Events

To get players warmed up, the MWAM opens with the Pre-Event featuring a ₱500,000 (~$8,525) guarantee. This is a two-day event running from June 17-18, 2024. Players have two chances at qualifying to the ITM round with the top 14% of each flight advancing. Buy in is ₱4000 (~$68).
