23 May BONIFACIO MONDALO IN FULL COMMAND OF DAY 1A + CHIP COUNTS
Day 1A of the Philippine Poker Tournament 2M GTD Main Event was a slash fest at the Metro Card Club with the 60 total entrants downsized to just 8 players. Though the field may have been light, it was the ultimate playground for one player in particular, Bonifacio Mondalo. Mondalo racked up 273,075 putting him in a far distance from the rest of the survivors.
Just to give you an idea of how large his stack was, that’s equivalent to 18 starting stacks gobbled up. Additionally, his closest competitor is over 100K behind. Mondalo has now set the bar for the next starting day players to measure up to.
Day 1A survivors
1 Bonifacio Mondalo – 273,075
2 Geno Gendrano – 160,400
3 Mark Amparo – 144,850
