25 Feb Philippine Poker Tournament opens today with the Pre-Event P150k gtd; Main Event P2M gtd starts tomorrow
Good morning players and welcome to another exciting event by the Metro Card Club! From February 25 to March 2, the Metro brings you the Philippine Poker Tournament. Currently in its second year, the PPT features a Php 2 million (~US$ 39,300) guaranteed Main Event running from February 26 to March 2. But before that hits the felt, the series opens this evening with the P150k guaranteed Pre-Event. We’ve got all the details for you below including a list of all the games lined up.
Pre-Event – Php 150,000 guaranteed
There are only two events at the PPT with guarantees, one is the Main Event, the other is the Pre-Event which will see cards in the air at 6pm tonight. The opener is a one-day event. This is a great way to practice and sharpen those skills before the big one tomorrow.
Buy-in: Php 1,500 (~US$ 30)
Guarantee: Php 150,000 (~US$ 3,000)
Starting time: 6pm
Starting stack: 10,000
Opening blinds: 25-50
Format: Big blind ante
Level 1 to 7 blinds duration: 20 minutes
Level 8 and up blinds duration: 15 minutes
Final table format: Regular ante
Registration: closes at the start of Level 9
Notes:
- Multiple re-buy and re-entry allowed; must have 10,000 or less chips to re-buy
- Re-buy / re-entry is Php 1,300 for 10,000 chips
- Best stack forward rule applies
- One add-on allowed, Php 1,300 for 15,000 chips but player must have at least one chip to be eligible
- Shot clock in effect at the start of Level 9
Main Event – Php 2,000,000 guaranteed
The Main Event is a six-day tournament and as always, there are plenty of chances to enter.
