27 Jun Lourd Ejem, Eoghan MacGabhann Bag Leads at MWAM Main Event Flight C/D; Two Flights Remain
Friday was another sizzling day at Metro Card Club as players once again flocked to the Metro Walk To A Million Main Event, making the festival centerpiece the undisputed place to be.
Across the day’s two starting flights, 338 entries poured in, pushing the cumulative field to 734 entries. With two final flights still on the schedule, the ₱5,000,000 guarantee is beginning to look less like the target and more like the starting point. There is every confidence that this edition will be another guarantee smasher.

Flight C pulled in the day’s largest turnout of 199 entries with 28 players securing their seat at the ITM stage. Bagging the top stack was Lourd Ejem of 441,000, equivalent to a sizable 88 big blinds! Other notable players that made the cut after previous attempts were John Matsuda, Richard Nakila, and Lemmor Patulot.
Good news for all of the short stacks, this flight was the fastest to complete with blinds at 2,000-5,000 ante 5,000.

At Flight D, 139 turned up for the first turbo format with blinds increasing every 20 minutes. After the bubble burst, Irish player Eoghan MacGabhann was the clear frontrunner out of the 20 remaining players with a stack of 469,000 which was 47 big blinds based on the closing 5,000-10,000 blinds. He has now taken over the second spot in the Day 2 lineup just below Flight A leader Oliver Lirio with 521,000.

For a buy-in of ₱6,000 (~USD 100), players begin with a deep 25,000 starting stack, equivalent to 250 times the opening blinds. Registration closes at the start of Level 11 then bags up once 14% of the field remains.
