14 Dec Christopher Pasion Rings In MCS Day 2 As 85 Players Return
The 2025 Metro Christmas Special Main Event numbers are in and just like the previous years, they were festive indeed! After five entry flights, the field swelled to 592 entries, driving the prize pool to a sweeter ₱5,920,000. The final push came yesterday as Flight D packed in 174 entries while Flight E followed closely with another 170, to seal the biggest turnouts of the series.
Leading the way into Day 2 are Christopher Pasion (pictured above) and John Dela Cruz, both players locking up the top two overall stacks. Emmanuel Segismundo (pictured below), the first-ever Metro Christmas Special champion, also found success, bagging up a healthy stack, good for 14th place overall.

A total of 85 players will be returning to the Metro Card Club for today’s Day 2 heat which begins at 1Pm. Everyone has already locked up a min-cash of ₱20,000, but of course all eyes are firmly fixed on the seven figure ₱1,019,700 top prize, certain to be an early Christmas celebration for one lucky player.
Day 2 Players
The 2025 Metro Christmas Special is the Metro Card Club’s season-ender series and is the last chance for players to bring home a Metro title. The goal for Day 2 is to play down to the Final 18 players or 15 levels maximum, whichever is first reached. Cards start flying at 1pm with blinds at 2,000-5,000 ante 5,000 increasing every 40 minutes.
The 2025 MCS also serves as the last window for players to boost their Metro Player of the Year points. Players need only to secure a top 10 spot in the POY leaderboard to have a chance at competing at the TLB Final Table showdown where the season’s title will be decided.
Last year provided the perfect reminder of how wide open that door can be, as Lemmor Patulot entered the TLB FT showdown in ninth position before going on to claim the inaugural Metro POY crown — along with a one-year contract as a Metro Team Pro.

As of December 10, Marlon Laxamana (pictured above) sits atop this year’s standings and remains firmly in the hunt after advancing to Day 2 of the Main Event. If he holds, he will win this year’s Metro VIP title. Scroll down for the current standings.
