History is being made at the Metro Card Club, where the inaugural Philippine Poker Millions has brought together the country’s live clubs and online GGPoker PH under one banner for the very first time. This groundbreaking event represents a true national championship, where live grinders and online warriors collide on the same stage.

Other notable international players making their way back today are Justin Ong, Cheng Xiong, Donghyun Kim, Henrik Tollefsen, Christian Lortie-Cloutier, Gary Thompson, and Sun Jin Kim.

Johnson Tan bags lead at Philippine Poker Millions Day 1F

Rounding out the top five in chips was last flight leader, Johnson Tan (pictured above), who will carry in 819,000 (136 bb) into today’s stage, and local pros David Erquiaga (118 bb) and Vamerdino Magsakay (107 bb).

Cards start flying at 1pm with blinds starting at 3000-6000 ante 6000.

For those that missed the mark, there are still other events to conquer. Today’s schedule includes the Survivor Knockout with buy in at ₱5,500 (~US$ 100) starting at 5pm. If you prefer the big stakes, then at 3pm is the first of two high roller events scheduled, the two-day Mini High Roller with buy in at ₱70,000 (~US$ 1,200). This buys you a deep 100,000 starting stack.
