Geoel Cantor Leads Final 18 Of MSE Main Event

The Metro Summer Event resumed with 105 players out of the 759 entries back on the felt for Day 2, each one chasing a seat at the final two tables. After nearly twelve hours of play, the final 18 players was established with Geoel Cantor, a fairly unknown at the Metro, at the top of the counts with 69 bb. This is the first time Cantor has claimed the spotlight.

Despite closing as chip leader, Cantor will have his hands full as he enters the final day tabled with MSE champion Moses Saquing and Hernan Villa. Another player to watch for is Kevin Mateo, who maintained his big stack to stay in the upper tier of the counts.

The final 18 players are now guaranteed ₱55,000 of the ₱7,590,000 prize pool. The target is of course ₱1,200,000 top prize. Final day kicks off at 2pm on May 26, with blinds at 15K-30K ante 30K.
