24 May James Moriles, Hernan Villa Top Metro Summer Event Flights; Second Trophy For Tiongson
Two more starting flights of the Metro Summer Event ₱6M Guaranteed came and went, and with them another 219 hopefuls to push the current tally to 387 entries. Among the crowd were familiar faces, including Metro Team Pros chasing that elusive deep run, however in the aftermath, only Jason Kyle Magbanua survived. Side event winners Marciel Cerbito and Danilo Ola also made the cut, as did Metro’s livestream commentator, Jester Intia.
Out of the combined 31 players that booked their spot in the next stage, it was Flight C leader James Moriles (pictured above) who stole the spotlight. Moriles closed the night with 592,000, edging past early pacesetter and Flight A leader, Moses Saquing, who bagged 585,000. Just behind them, Hernan Jaybee Villa (pictured below) bagged the lead at Flight B with 485,000 to take third rank.
With two final flights to come, these rankings may still change. Currently 55 players are through to Day 2 and are guaranteed a piece of the prize pool.
