It was an exciting Day 7 at the 2024 RVS CUP with the Metro Card Club proudly opening its doors after a 15-month makeover. Players poured in the revamped venue, thrilled to be among the first to experience the new space. Adding to the excitement was the day’s games with the RVS CUP – Philippine Poker Championship and its ₱20 Million guaranteed prize pool kicking off. Running alongside was the first Manila Poker Cup sponsored event, the ₱2M guaranteed High Roller. We’ve got those results down below.
2024 RVS CUP
The much awaited 2024 RVS CUP – PPC concluded Day 1A with 130 runners battling it out for a spot in the ITM round where a minimum ₱20 Million prize pool awaits. Only the top 14% advanced – 19 players.
This year’s RVS CUP – PPC is richer than ever with the guarantee double of last year and already a record figure with the current high at ₱15.4 Million. Alvir Inocentes Sets Pace At RVS Cup – PPC Day 1A
One player assuring his standing was Alvir Inocentes by bagging up the largest stack at Day 1A. This was a great start for Inocentes who has yet to reach a Metro major final table. Also making the cut were RVS Cup champions, Jeffrey Calma (2019) and Richard Marquez (2015). Other notable survivors were Mike Takayama, Renniel Galvez, Edwin Dela Cruz, and Justin Geronimo.

MPC High Roller 2M GTD
The Manila Poker Cup held its first of four sponsored events with the ₱2 Million (~US$ 34,300) guaranteed High Roller attracting 42 runners. Many well known locals and Metro Team Pros filled the tables and after eight levels of scheduled play, several were among the 24 players that bagged up. At the top of the counts was Ryan Platon and was closely trailed by Moon Jang-Ho.
