24 Jun One Day Closer To Crowning The 2024 Metro Walk To A Million Champion; Anthony Castro Leads Final Day
The record-breaking 2024 Metro Walk To A Million concluded the most crucial stage of the race where the field was cut significantly to just two tables. From 1,339 entries across six flights, only 185 ITM players returned to the Metro Card Club for Day 2, and now further trimmed to 18 players, each one hunting down the largest slice of the outstanding ₱6,695,000 (~$114,150) prize pool. In best position to snatch up the title, trophy, and ₱1,230,000 (~$20,970) top prize is chip leader Anthony Castro (pictured below) with 85 bb. Castro is 27 bb ahead of his closest challenger.
When the finalists return on Monday, June 24, 2024, the blinds will open at 40,000-80,000 ante 80,000 with blinds increasing every 40 minutes. Spectators can watch the livestream via the Metro Card Club YouTube channel and Metro Card Club Facebook page. With no past MWAM champion in sight, a new face is guaranteed to take it down.

Metro Tournament Most Valuable Player – Mechanics
Since January, the Metro Card Club has been running the first ever Metro Tournament Most Valuable Player contest. There are many ways for players to earn points. At the ongoing 2024 MWAM, everyone that reached the ITM round earned. The player sitting at the top of the leaderboard by the end of the race – end December 16 – will win 35% of the pot in Cash and Tournament credits plus a 1 year contract as a Metro Team Pro.
