Day 1 flights remaining
For all you fence-sitters and weekend warriors, this is it. Today is your last chance to get in on this record PPT pot!
Day 1E is underway (started at 1pm), registration closes at 6:30pm (end of Level 10). If you miss that window, there’s Day 1F (Turbo) which starts at 7pm, registration closing at 10:50pm (end of Level 10).
Day 1E: Saturday, February 3, 2024 at 1pm
Day 1F (Turbo): Saturday, February 3, 2024 at 7pm
- Starting stack: 25,000
- Day 1 plays to ITM of 12% of the field
- Day 1 blinds increase every 30 minutes / 20 minutes for Turbo
- Big blind ante format
The PPT is a deep structured tournament with a 25,000 starting stack, equivalent to 250 times the opening blinds. With big turnouts the past four entry flights, we suggest for players to get to the Metro early to avoid waiting in long registration lines.
A new element has also been added, the 30 second Shot Clock will be introduced at the Final Table. Finalists will be given five time-banks of 30 seconds each.

Searching for the next PPT champion
Now in its 5th year, the homegrown Philippine Poker Tournament (PPT) is in search of its next champion to join these past winners.
Jharome Pena (2023) – ₱845,940
Maxwell Rosete (2022) – ₱395,048
Rasid Paitao (2020) – ₱299,883
Gideon Galpo (2019) – ₱389,000
So far, only PPT 2023 champion Jharome Pena has qualified, having a better run at Day 1D (Turbo). We will track the others in case they too make a bid for a second PPT title.
Last year, Pena turned his ₱6,600 buy in into a career high payout of ₱845,940 (ICM deal)! This should be incentive enough to shoot for the top.
Also spotted was Maxell Rosete who has already won a side event. However, he has yet to find his way into the PPT Day 2 lineup. He is currently in action at Day 1E.
Joseph Sia wins the Power Button
Metro Team Pro Joseph Sia topped the 78 entry field of the Power Button side event to pocket ₱65,000. This was his second PPT Power Button win with a first back in 2022. He now has five Metro trophies on his awards shelf. Sia also qualified to PPT 2024 at Day 1A.
