The day has arrived! The Metro Summer Event PHP 3.5 Million guaranteed Main Event begins! Cards started flipping at the Metro Card Club around 3pm today, Wednesday, April 19. Among the early goers were JR Villanueva, Federick Cruz, Metro Team Pros Alexis Lim, Joven Huerto, and Ed Marcelo who hasn’t been seen at the tournament tables in years. There’s still time to join Day 1A with registration closing at 8pm, at the start of Level 10. Buy in is PHP 7,000.

If you haven’t seen our previous post on this event, all the details can be found below including the structure. Make sure to review this. For players that sign up at the last second, you still have a playable 16 bb but if you want to have more room to wiggle, we suggest to come much earlier to have time to build a big stack before reg closes.
This is the sixth MSE festival with Jun Mondalo as the defending champion. Mondalo attends most of the big events at the Metro and you can bet he will be back to defend his title. Other past winners were Kai Paulsen, Joseph, Sia, and Jaewook Shin.

- Registration and multiple re-entry are allowed before the start of Level 10
- Starting stack 25,000
- Day 1A – Day 1D blinds increase every 30 minutes, Day 1E (Turbo) blinds increase every 20 minutes
- All Day 1 heats will play to the end of level 14
- Players that advance Day 2 may still play in the remaining qualifying days, however only the player’s best stack moves forward
- Up until the final table, Ante will come from the Big Blind; ante first
- Day 2 blinds increase every 30 minutes
- Day 2 will play to the end of Level 27 or down to 2 tables whichever is first reached
- Final Day – Redraw of seats and blinds increase every 40 minutes
- There will be a 30 Big Blind ratio to average stack roll back on Day 2 and at the Final table
- Final table will be 9 handed and will post regular ante.
- Players must bring a valid ID for Registration, Day 2, Final Day and claiming their prize.
