Metro Card Club opens 2023 featuring a boosted ₱3M gtd Philippine Poker Tournament

Join us at the Metro Card Club as we open 2023 with the Philippine Poker Tournament featuring a boosted ₱3,ooo,ooo (~US$ 53,860) guaranteed prize pool! You read that right… that’s one million pesos more than previous. The annual event is a Metro crowd favorite which takes place from January 17 to 23. For a buy in of just ₱6,600 (~US$ 120) players have a chance at clinching the year’s first Metro title and first big payload. 

Through the years the PPT has witnessed three players take the crown namely Gideon Galpo (2019), Rasid Paitao (2020), and Maxwell Rosete (2022). Excitement is high for the upcoming edition as it is the first of many Metro tournaments lined up for the new year. To have a chance at the PPT’s beefed up pot, players have five starting days to choose from running January 18 to 21, followed by Day 2 and the Final Day.

Day 1D: January 21 @2pm
Day 1E (Turbo): January 21 @7pm

Day 2: January 22 @1pm
Final Day: January 23 @1pm

This is a multiple re-entry tournament however only your best stack advances. We will have the structure up soon so be on the lookout.

Late last year, PPT seats were awarded to several players that ran deep at the RVS Cup. Since then, numerous others have also won seats via Metro daily tournaments. This is a great way to try to get in the PPT for cheap. If you miss the mark there, two PPT Satellites are scheduled with buy in of just ₱1,200.

PPT Side Events

In addition to the PPT 3M are three side events. The series opens with the PPT Pre-Event 250K guaranteed and on the final two days are the Big Bounty and NLHE 100K guaranteed.

PPT Pre-Event: January 17 – ₱250,000 (~$4,500) guaranteed – ₱2,750 buy in
Big Bounty: January 22 – ₱3,300 buy in
NLHE 100K GTD – ₱100,000 (~$1,800) guaranteed – ₱1,650 buy in
