RVS CUP 6 Million guaranteed starts today! November 9 to 14

The Metro Card Club‘s bigger and richer RVS CUP 6 Million guaranteed Philippine Poker Championship is here! Welcome players to opening day!

After five days of pre-games, the Main Event kicks off, running from today November 9 to 14. This year’s installment is the 8th since its inception. It is hailed the most anticipated homegrown annual tournament where pros and recreational players come out to try to capture the coveted title and hefty cash prize that comes with it. For the next six days, expect a packed house with local stars and past champions scattered around the room such as Marc Rivera, Lester Edoc, Noel Araniel, and Vamerdino Magsakay.

Though we know you’ve all prepared for this moment, here’s a breakdown of the schedule.

The Main Event packs in a huge guarantee of ₱6,000,000 (~$102,660). This is one million pesos more than previous editions. Buy in is an affordable ₱11,000 (~$188) with unlimited re-entries. There are five starters to ensure everyone has loads of chances at the pot. Makes sure to take note of the differing time schedules. 

Day 1A: Wednesday, November 9 at 3pm
Day 1B: Thursday, November 10 at 3pm
Day 1C: Friday, November 11 at 3pm
Day 1D: Saturday, November 12 at 2pm
Day 1E (Turbo): Saturday, November 12 at 7pm

As always, the schedule is very flexible. For players that prefer to enter during the week, games start at 3pm with late registration running until the start of Level 10. For weekend warriors, there are also several options to get in the action. Keep in mind Day 1A-Day 1D will see blinds increase every 30 minutes while the Day 1E (Turbo) increases every 20 minutes. All Day 1 will play to the end of Level 14.

For those that qualify for Day 2, it takes place on Sunday, November 13 at 1pm. The Final Day is on Monday, November 14 at 1pm. Level duration will increase to 40 minutes per round then 60 minutes at the final table. The final table will stream live on the Metro facebook page.

This year’s RVS CUP also comes with the Player of the Series title. The player that accrues the most points by the end of the series will win a round trip ticket to the world acclaimed beach destination Boracay with four days / 3 nights at The District Boracay and airfare expenses.
