03 Sep John Bell Perez storms to the top at Batang Metro Day 1C; one entry flight left; 3M GTD to be breached
Another smokin’ hot day at the Metro Card Club with an even larger crowd turning up for Day 1C of Batang Metro. The third entry day dragged in 183 runners to bring the cumulative tally to 424. With a total of 500 entrants needed to breach the advertised Php 3,000,000 pot, and with the last flight to come (Day 1D) consistently drawing the biggest field, it is certain that the BM prize pool will surge way past the guarantee. For those that have not yet secured a Day 2 seat, only one chance left join the action.
Locking up the chip lead at the end of Day 1C was John Bell Perez with a commanding 276,800 stack. This was nearly six starting stacks more than Day 1A leader Edilberto Gopez which meant, a new race leader has emerged. Coming Day 1D, Perez will be the player to catch. Three others also overtook Gopez in the overall ranking. Currently second in chips is Venoni Paltep Jr, in third rank is Christopher “Bigtime” Mateo, and ranked fourth is Lemmor Patulot. Down the rung were WSOP bracelet winner / APC champion Mike Takayama, RVS Cup champions Marco Almerez and Christopher Chua.
