03 Jul Metro 2M GTD: Audrey Anthony Ozaeta, Jessie Trance lead in the final 16 players; Php 800K up for grabs
From 106 players, the field is down to the final 16. Coming Monday, July 4, the newest Metro Card Club champion will be crowned and will walk away Php 800,000 richer. Leading the charge are Audrey Anthony Ozaeta and Jessie Trance, both players with 36 BB. For Trance, it was another impressive result having entered Day 2 as the overwhelming chip leader and maintaining his position.
The Metro produced another smashing event with the Walk To A Million series obliterating its 2M guarantee. Over the four starting days that ran from June 29 to July 2, the event drew 634 entries at Php 5,500 each for a prize pool of Php 3,074,900. Only 106 players advanced to Day 2 with the money starting at 63rd place.

When the final 16 players return, they will be hunting down the Php 800,000 first prize but with the average stack at under 20 BB, everyone is vulnerable. Nonstop shoves are expected from the get-go. In addition to the leaders, players to watch for are John Tech (25.7 BB) and Federick Cruz (10.5 BB). Shortest stacked Adrian Reyes will have the hardest climb with just 6.5 BB. Cards in the air at 1pm.

Day 2 review and payouts
Day 2 kicked off with 106 players racing to the money. Among the casualties without any pay were RVS Cup champions Anacleto Quijano, Christopher Chua, and Marco Almerez. Falling the hardest was Clyde Troy Morales whose {as}{9h} flush fell to Elmer Kalaquian‘s {7d}{7c} full house on a board {3h}{7h}{ah}{3d}{6h}. Kalaquian went on to reach 31st place for a Php 17,500 payout. Day 1A chip leader Jeffrey Estanislao finished 33rd and Day 1C chip leader Rey Osete took 38th. Missing the final day by one spot was Malaysia’s William Teoh in 17th place. Teoh earned Php 22,500.
