Day 1D review
Saturday’s final entry heat brought in the largest crowd of 200 entries. Well known local hotshots were among the Day 2 qualifiers such as Jay Tolon, Joven Huerto, and multi-side event winner Joseph Sia. Outshining them all was David Erquiaga with 301,400 chips bagged. This earned him the overall top spot to easily surpass Day 1B leader Christopher Mateo with 264,600. Erquiaga continued his strong performance that was seen taking full flight early last year. At the recently concluded WPT Philippines Main Event, he finished 4th and triumphed at one of the side events.
