And the race is on! The Metro Card Club‘s second poker festival of the year is underway! The Philippine Poker Tournament held Day 1A of the Php 2 Million guaranteed Main Event. This was the first of four starting days scheduled. 85 took their chances and only 10 survived.

Earning the lead spot was Jasper Salonga David with 247,600 in chips. Also running well was Vivencio Nachor Jr. sitting with around two starting stacks behind the leader Another player making it through was RVS Cup 2017 champion Christopher Chua with 109,500.
All of the qualifiers have a three-day break before they head back to action. Day 2 is on Sunday, March 2 at 1pm. For those that fell by the wayside, no fret. Three starting days remain to try to secure your spot.
