14 Nov RVS CUP 2019: Emmanuel Segismundo bags Main Event Day 1A lead; three entry days to follow; George S. & Jimmie Javier win side events
107 runners made their way today to Metro Card Club for the 6th annual RVS CUP 2019 Philippine Poker Championship. Bringing them in was none other than the Php 5M Guaranteed MAIN EVENT with Day 1A up on the plate. By the close of day, only 15 prevailed. 2018 champion Marco Almerez and 2017 champion Christopher Chua were among the survivors however their stacks paled in comparison to Emmanuel Segismundo who bagged up 227,200, equivalent to 15 starting stacks and a substantial 75 bbs coming Day 2.
Trailing the leader by a very thin margin was Alvin Jeff Sembrano who bagged up nearly the same. Sembrano closed with 226,300, which was just 900 shy of the leader. Both are the players to measure up to coming Day 1B.
The leaders and the rest of the Day 1A survivors are now one stage closer to reaching the glory but first they have a three day break before getting back on the saddle. They return for Day 2 on Sunday, November 17 at 1pm.
