27 Jun Jimmie Javier tops MWAM Day 1A; Royly Oracion wins the Pre-Event; MWAM Day 1B up next
The Metro Card Club welcomed players in on Wednesday, June 26 for opening day of the Metro WALK TO A MILLION. The event is due to run a course of six days until a winner emerges on Monday, July 1. Last night, the P1.5M guaranteed Main Event saw a mixed bag of local pros, aspiring pros, international players, and rec players, all getting an early crack. By the close of registration, 107 signed up for Day 1A.
Despite the numerous decorated players in the field, it was Jimmie Javier who topped the 14 remaining players. He closed Day 1A with a stack of 255,500 which is equivalent to a whopping 17 starting stacks. He sets the bar very high for the next heat.
Also amassing a big one was second position player Royly Oracion with 207,900. Oracion is running hot at the MWAM. He won the Pre-Event 100K guaranteed. Details on that can be found at the bottom of the page. Other notable players advancing were Australia’s Anthony Abram with 74,400 and William Ysmael with 63,000.
